Ibiza is beautiful all year round — but not all months are created equal when it comes to planning a wedding.
Whether you’re dreaming of a barefoot ceremony on a sun-drenched terrace or an elegant dinner under the stars, timing makes all the difference. From weather and light to temperature, crowds, and cost — the feel of your wedding is shaped more than you might expect by the week you choose.
From years of experience, we believe there are two sweet spots — each offering the ideal balance of beauty, comfort, and atmosphere.
We’ve refined this down to a maximum of 10 weeks, to help our couples focus only on the most perfect conditions for a wedding celebration in Ibiza.
Spring into Early Summer
Wednesday 7 May – Wednesday 11 June
This is Ibiza in her most elegant mood — wildflowers at your feet, golden light overhead, and warm evenings that stretch on forever.
• Temperature: Daytime highs of 24–27°C — warm, but never oppressive. Wonderful at night.
• Daylight: Long days and late sunsets — often still light at 9pm. It gives you time: time to relax, time to gather, time to celebrate slowly.
• Light: Clear, golden, and flattering for photography.
• Nature: Wildflowers are in full bloom.
• The island: Lively but not chaotic — restaurants are open, roads are calm, and everything feels easy.
Early Autumn
Wednesday 17 September – Wednesday 8 October
Ibiza softens. The crowds thin, the evenings glow, and a different kind of beauty takes over — deeper, calmer, quietly romantic.
• Temperature: Still beautifully warm (25–28°C), and perfect in the evenings.
• Light: More contrast and drama — ideal for golden-hour portraits and candlelit dinners.
• The sea: At its warmest — having stored up heat all summer. A perfect time for swimming or post-wedding dips.
• The island: Calmer, quieter, and more personal.
• The mood: Intimate, relaxed, and subtly nostalgic — as summer leans into autumn.
These weeks are a hidden treasure — still vibrant, but with space to breathe.
Some couples are drawn to high summer — bright skies, buzzing beach clubs, and that unmistakable peak-season energy.
But they’re also the least comfortable time to get married in Ibiza. Here’s why:
• Heat: Regularly exceeds 34°C. It’s tough on guests, worse for flowers, and difficult for formalwear.
• Light: Harsh, direct, and unflattering in photographs.
• Crowds: The island is at full capacity — beaches, roads, restaurants, everywhere.
• Cost: Everything is more expensive — flights, accommodation, car hire, catering.
• Energy: The mood is hectic. Fun for a party — not ideal for a calm, meaningful wedding day.
That’s why we choose not to host weddings in July or August — not because they’re unpopular, but because they don’t offer the kind of quality, space, or experience we believe a wedding deserves.
There’s charm in both — but they come with more uncertainty.
April: Wild and green, but less predictable weather. Evening chill and stronger winds are common.
Late October: Peaceful, yes — but shorter days and a higher chance of rain. Many restaurants and beach venues begin to close.
Still beautiful — but best for smaller, more spontaneous events, not full-scale weddings.
If you’re looking for:
Glorious weather (but not sweltering)
• Long days
• Warm sea
• Calm energy
• Beautiful light
• And a sense of space and ease…
Then the best times of year to marry in Ibiza are:
“The Wildflower weeks”
Wednesday 7 May – Wednesday 11 June
“Pomegranate harvest”
Wednesday 17 September – Wednesday 8 October
These are the weekends we prioritise at Can Frare, a historic Ibizan estate where we host just ten weddings a year. It’s when the land feels most generous, the light most flattering, and the atmosphere just right for something meaningful — a moment that becomes memory, etched in golden light.
